Prison Workshops
In her relaxed, entertaining way, Emily guides prisoners to draw out and release their "inner demons" so that they can feel more fully at peace with themselves and those around them.

It's no secret that emotional issues are at the core of violence, addiction, and other behaviors that result in incarceration. The Drawing Out Process
®
has shown to be a powerful, non-confrontational way of addressing what are often deep, intimidating emotional issues that many prisoners face.
Drawing Out Process® Prison Workshops begin with an eye-opening presentation that explains how what most of us were taught about ourselves and our emotions is wrong. Emily then shows how what we perceive to be our "inner demons" are, on the contrary, benevolent parts of us that are simply trying to protect us whatever way they know how.
Emily describes the 3 "character" types that rule our inner emotional world, explains the purpose each serves, and helps prisoners see how their "inner demons" can easily be transformed into great guardians of love and peace.
During the ensuing small group sessions, Emily then guides the prisoners' "inner demons" to let go of their destructive emotions and beliefs so that they - and the prisoners - can be more fully, permanently at peace with themselves and others.
The result: more compassionate,
mutual understanding between the inmates and a
greatly improved prison environment, with potentially reduced rates of recidivism.
